Durban Qalandars

Durban Qalandars is a professional twenty20 cricket team that will play in South Africa’s T20 Global League. Pakistan based businessman Fawad Rana bought Durban team franchise in the competition. Team will play home matches at Kingsmead in Durban. Hashim Amla is the domestic marquee player for Qalandars in T20GL.

This is the second franchise of Qalandars as Fawad Rana is having Lahore Qalandars franchise in Pakistan Super League. Paddy Upton was named head coach of Durban Qalandars. Former Pakistani spinner Aqib Javed was appointed as the bowling coach and director of cricket operations.

New Zealand’s Grant Elliott was named assistant coach of Durban Qalandars.
