Sixth T20 cricket world cup hosts India have directly qualified for the second stage of championship which is also known as Super-10 round in the competition. Men in Blue are placed in the Group 2 along with 2009 ICC World T20 champions Pakistan, strong Australia and New Zealand teams. India will also compete one qualifying team from first round of 2016 world twenty20.
Indian team will play their all matches in the evening shift. The opening game of 2nd round in WT20 2016 is scheduled to take place between India and New Zealand on 15th of March at Vidarbha Cricket Stadium in Nagpur. 2007 world 20-20 champions will face arch rivals Pakistan in their second game of competition on 19th March at HPCA stadium in Dharamsala. In their third group match, India will be up against the qualifier from first stage.
