Two times Indian Premier League champions, Kolkata Knight Riders will be appearing in the successive tenth edition of championship beginning from 5th April. Gautam Gambhir will try best to lead the side for their third IPL title. KKR to play their opening game of season against Gujarat Lions on April 7.

Opening batsmen
Opening pair is settled for Kolkata Knight Riders as skipper Gautam Gambhir and wicket-keeper batsman Robin Uthappa have been opening for the side for 2-3 season regularly. However if team requires, Manish Pandey may also come to open the innings.
Middle Order
There are several options in the middle order for captain Gambhir to whom go with. Manish Pandey, Suryakumar Yadav, Chris Lynn, Yusuf Pathan and Shakib Al Hasan are the prime choices for middle and lower order. However Yusuf and Shakib to play as spin all-rounding options. Ishan Jaggi and Darren Bravo can also get few matches as middle order batsmen in KKR playing XI.

Bowlers
KKR has got tremendous bowling lineup that includes fast bowlers like Trent Boult, Chris Woakes, Umesh Yadav and Rovman Powell who can bowl at good pace. Meanwhile Sunil Narine, Shakib, Piyush and Yusuf are the key spinners in the Knight Riders.
