Jamaica Tallawahs middle order batsman Andre Russell has smashed brilliant hundred in the 3rd qualifier of Hero CPLT20 2016 to lead his side into the final. Russell made 100 runs in 44 balls with the help of 11 sixes and 3 fours. In the rain hit match, Jamaica beat title defenders Trinbago Knight Riders by 19 runs to meet Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final on 7th of August.

Winning the toss, TKR chose to field first and their decision went against them. Chris Gayle and Company posted a huge total of 195 runs in 20 overs quota. Apart from Russell, skipper Gayle played important innings of 35 runs at the top.

In a rain interrupted run chase, Trinbago Knight Riders managed to score 110 runs in 12 overs after getting revised target of 130 runs in 12 overs as per Duckworth Lewis method.
