Sri Lanka opener Tillakaratne Dilshan has been ruled out from the first twenty20 match against India for 2016 tour. Wicket-keeper batsman Niroshan Dickwella is included in the Sri-Lankan side for Pune T20 international schedules to play on 9th February.

Dilshan is currently facing a hand injury and didn’t arrive to India with team on Saturday. As er reports he is expected to get fully fit before the second T20I which is scheduled to take place on 12th February in Ranchi. This is the third big loss for Sri Lanka ahead of series as previously star players Lasith Malinga and Angelo Mathews withdrew from squad due to respective injuries.

Dickwells is making way to the side after performing well in the domestic twenty20 league Super T20. He scored 189 runs in played 6 matches which was enough for selectors to get him in the side.
