West Indies’ players rock Indian Premier League and this is proved again as IPL debutant Alzarri Joseph achieved incredible feat in his first match of the league against Sunrisers Hyderabad when he dismissed David Warner on the very first bowl he bowled in the league. Fast bowler Alzarri made debut for Mumbai Indians and he bowled maiden over as well for the team.
With this incredible wicket-maiden first over on IPLT20 debut, Alzarri Joseph becomes second player to register his name in the list. Before him, Australia’s Pat Cummins achieved this feat and bowled wicket-maiden on his debuting game.
He conceded just four runs in his second over and took wicket of Vijay Shankar as well. In his third over, he dismissed Deepak Hooda to take his third wicket of the match. In the same over, he got the 4th wicket and this time he took wicket of Rashid Khan as well as he took return catch. With this wonderful effort, he left SRH struggling at 89/7 in 16 overs.
Alzarri Hoseph was on fire with his bowling and he took 5th wicket in his fourth over of the innings to complete five-wicket haul on his debut. That is just amazing bowling performance that helped Mumbai Indians sealed victory by 40 runs as Sunrisers Hyderabad all-out on 98 in 17.4 overs. He achieved best bowling figures in IPL history as took 6 wickets for just spending 12 runs.
SRH won toss and asked Mumbai Indians to set target for them. It wasn’t the day for batsmen as players couldn’t hit the ball properly and were struggling to score runs at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Mumbai Indians managed to put just 136 runs on the scoreboard and the total looked pretty low when you see SRH’s explosive batting line-up. But the way Mumbai Indians’ bowlers came up and made things hard for Orange Army batsmen and team found difficult to score runs.
However cricket fans on Twitter, hail Alzarri’s performance and effort. Some fans gone crazy and predicted him to be in the Windies side for 2019 cricket world cup.
