Legendary players from five nations India, South Africa, West Indies, Australia and Sri Lanka are set to take part in the new twenty20 league for retired cricketers. The new t20 league “Road Safety World Series” will kick off in February 2020 in India. This league will be played each year from then.
Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, West Indies’ Brian Lara, Australia’s Brett Lee, South Africa’s Jonty Rhodes and Sri Lanka’s Tillakaratne Dilshan will be part of the competition whose inaugural edition to be played between 2 and 16 February. Tendulkar is the brand ambassador of the league.
Swach Bharat Surakshit Bharat is the major promoter of ex-cricketers league conceptualized by Professional Management Group. Jio and Voot are the digital partners of Road Safety World league meanwhile Viacom 18 has the official broadcasting rights.
The main moto to introduce this league to make people aware about road safety. Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) have issued the NOC to players for participating in the league.
