Quetta Gladiators are set to play first edition of Pakistan Super League under the captaincy of Sarfraz Ahmed. Kevin Pietersen, Kumar Sangakkara, Umar Gul, Ahmed Shehzad are some of the best players in Quetta Gladiators. Moin Khan is the head coach of Gladiators.
The first player Queeta Gladiators picked in the players draft was former English batsman Kevin Pietersen. Owners also picked two Pakistani cricketers Sarfraz Ahmed and Ahmed Shehzad in the Platinum category. Umar Gul, Anwar Ali are some of the popular Pakistan names in the Gladiators squad.
West Indies bowler Jason Holder and England’s Luke Wright are also included in the Quetta Gladiators team for 2016 Pakistan Super League. Team will play the opening game of PSL Twenty20 2016 against Islamabad United on 4 February at Dubai.
Sri Lanka legend Kumar Sangakkara is also picked by Team Quetta in the Supplementary round. Supplementary draft players will only travel if the team wants. Quetta picked three players in this supplementary draft and missed the 4th one as they reached to their total purse of 1.1M USD.
