Hitting century in T20 cricket is not an easy task for a player and it gets more difficult when the batsman is playing in a big tournament like world cup. But there are several destructive batsmen in world who have scored centuries in ICC World Twenty20 competition over the years. So far 6 batsmen have scored tons since 2007.
West Indies batsman Chris Gayle was the first batsman to score a hundred as he hit 117 runs in 57 balls against South Africa at Johannesburg. It was also the first ever century in twenty20 internationals. Other centurions in ICC World T20s are Suresh Raina (India), Mahela Jayawardene (Sri Lanka), Brendon McCullum (New Zealand), Alex Hales (England) and Ahmed Shehzad (Pakistan).
