KFC Big Bash League also popular as BBL, is a twenty20 cricket event plays in Australia. First edition of championship was played in 2011. Since then eight Big Bash tournaments have been concluded and 9th season is all set to kick off on 17 December 2019 and it will conclude on 8 February 2020.
All 8 teams will play home-away fixtures against each opposition. A total of 56 matches will be played at the starting stage. Brisbane Head to play Sydney Thunder in the first match of BBL|09. Title defending champion Melbourne Renegades to meet Sydney Thunder in their opening game of 2019-20 BBL at Geelong.
Big bash has introduced new system for teams qualification to knockouts as 5 teams to enter in the knockout round and five knockouts to be played including final of the season. Grand finale is all set for February 8.
