Brisbane Heat is one of the eight original twenty20 cricket franchises in Australia’s Big Bash League. The club was launched in 2011 when the tournament was inaugurated. Brisbane Heat represents Australian state Queenland’s Brisbane city in the competition.
The Brisbane Cricket Ground aka The Gabba is the official home ground for Brisbane Heat in BBL. Team’s biggest achievement was to win the second edition of KFC Big Bash League (BBL) under Chris Hartley’s captaincy. Brisbane Heat players wear teal color jersey.
Former New Zealand spinner Daniel Vettori is currently the head coach of Brisbane Heat. Chris Lynn is the skipper of side.

Brisbane Head haven’t got much success in the men’s bbl championship. In appeared 6 Big Bash editions, BH managed to reach knockout stage of tournament once in 2012-13 where they became champions of Big Bash League by defeating Perth Scorchers in the final.
