Durban Heat is a professional twenty20 cricket team launched by Cricket South Africa and team to compete in Mzansi Super League. It is one of the original six franchises revealed in October 2018 for inaugural edition in MSL T20.
Hashim Amla was announced the marquee player of team ahead of players draft. First pick in the 1st players draft of tournament was awarded to Durban Heat. Team will be playing home matches at Kingsmead stadium in Durban city.
