West Indies superstar all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has become first bowler to take 500 wickets in twenty20 cricket. He achieved the milestone during 13th match of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2020 between St. Lucia Zouks and Trinbago Knight Riders at Port of Spain in Trinidad.
Dwayne Bravo dismissed St. Lucia Zouks opener Rahkeem Cornwall in the 3rd over the match to achieve the feat of becoming 500-wicket taker in T20. This was Bravo’s 459th match and he took one more wicket in his first spell of the game as he dismissed Roston Chase for just 7 runs.
If you look at the tally of leading wicket takers in t20 cricket, you’ll find no other bowler has managed to take even 400 wickets in the format. Sri Lanka’s legendary fast bowler Lasith Malinga stands at the second place with 390 wickets in 295 matches.
