BCCI selection committee announced twenty20 squads for upcoming series’ against Windies and Australia. And to the surprises, India left out MS Dhoni from both the T20I squads. Skipper Virat Kohli is also not the part of T20 team to face West Indies in three matches series kicking off from 4th November. Rohit to lead India against Windies.
Rishabh Pant is included in both the squads along with Dinesh Karthik as the second wicket-keeper batsman in the side. However the biggest story of the night was Dhoni’s exclusion from national team which was explained by chief selector MSK Prasad.
While announcing teams, selector Prasad told that they’re looking for second wicket-keeper and between Pant and Karthik were the choices for selection. “Dhoni not to play against Windies and Australia in T20Is. Hence we are looking for second wicket-keeping option in prospects of future as well. Rishabh and Dinesh are there to see if what can come better for side,” Prasad said.
