According Kuldeep, playing IPL for KKR has helped him a lot during the first t20 match in Kolkata as it the home venue for KKR in premium t20 league. Left-arm spinner said that he was familiar with pitch and ground conditions of Eden Gardens which allowed him to restrict batsmen from scoring runs and getting them out.

“It plays a part. It’s been five years with KKR. I have played all the IPL games there. It gives you massive advantage. It gives confidence as well. I know ground and wicket as well. I know the ground well, the pitch here does not offer much turn. I know the speed of the outfield and every angle. So it helps a lot and gives me immense confidence,” Kuldeep told reporters after the match.

India beat Windies in the first t20 match by 5 wickets with 13 balls to spare in the game. West Indies made 109 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
