Multan Sultans is the twenty20 franchise team of Pakistan Super League. It is the sixth franchise in PSLT20 launched in 2017. Multan Sultans will appear in their first PSL season in 2018. Dubai’s Schon Group bought Multan franchise for 5.2 million dollar every year as per 8-year contract with PCB.
Former Pakistan’s swing champion Wasim Akram was appointed as the cricket operations director of Multan Sultans franchise. Australia’s former cricketer and star Tom Moody was named the head coach of sixth PSLT20 team. Multan cricket ground is the official home stadium for Multan Sultans team in Pakistan Super League.
