West Indies cricket team have registered their second win in 2016 twenty20 world cup as they have defeated Sri Lanka by 7 wickets in the 21st game of championship played in Bengaluru. Caribbean team won their first match against England and with today’s win they have earned 2 more crucial points in Group-1 points tally. Andre Fletcher was awarded player of the match for his unbeaten 84 runs.

ICC World T20 2016 title defending champions had off day tonight and their batting was very ordinary in this crucial match. After losing toss, Sri-Lanka just managed to score 122 runs in 20 overs quota for the loss of 9 wickets. The pitch was quite supporting bowlers but still some bad shots selection let Lankan team down in the contest. Samuel Badree bowled very well and he took 3 wickets for just spending 12 runs in 4 overs.

In the chase of 123 runs target, West Indies lost 3 wickets and chased the total in 18.2 overs. Andre Fletcher made 84 runs not out that helped Caribbean side to chase target easily. Chris Gayle didn’t come to bat in this match due to injury concerns but he’ll be seen playing in next games.
