Cricket fans based in India can enjoy live broadcast and telecast of recently launched Afghanistan Premier League on Discovery’s DSport channel. There are 23 matches scheduled to be played in the first season of APL T20 from 5 to 21 October 2018.
Sharjah Cricket Stadium in United Arab Emirates to host inaugural Afghanistan Premier League season. However no Indian cricketer is playing in the league, still there are 35 overseas cricketers apart from Afghanistan will be competing in the competition.
In players draft, five teams franchise picked some of the top players like Shahid Afridi, Brendon McCullum, Chris Gayle, Andre Russell and more to be featured in the first edition of APL T20. Afghanistan Cricket Board CEO Mr. Shafiqullah Stanikzai has predicted that around 100 million Indian homes will watch the live telecast of APL.
“We are delighted that the APL T20 will be carried to close to 100 million homes in India through the Broadcast on DSport. We expect a keenly fought competition which is sure to enthrall the Cricket loving Viewers in India,” CEO Shafiqullah Stanikzai said.

We expect huge traction for the league given the presence of superstars of cricket and the fact all the matches will be played at prime time in India,” Discovery Communications India, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Karan Bajaj quoted.
Kabul Zwanan will be taking on Paktia Panthers in the opening match of 2018 APL T20.
