Australia cricket team is on the tour of Sri Lanka for 2016 season and both teams have played tests and ODIs series. Sri Lanka succeeded to win test series by 3-0 meanwhile Australia claimed One Day series by 4-1. T20Is are scheduled to play on 6 and 9 September in Pallekele and Colombo.
David Warner was named skipper of Australian T20 squad for Sri Lanka series as Steve Smith was returned to home after receiving injury concerns. However Warner smashed century in the last ODI match to seal team’s victory and claimed series by 4-1.
Initially Matthew Wade was ignored from the Australian roster which made him disappointed. He said, “I was disappointed not to get picked for the T20 Internationals, but that’s the way it goes. I can only really go out there and perform the way that I’m performing, the selectors take care of the other stuff. Every time you don’t get picked for Australia is disappointing.”
However Wade was named in the side after Australian camp got two big injuries. Aaron Finch and Chris Lynn received injuries that let them ruled out from the t20 series. George Bailey is also included in the twenty20 team as he was part of ODI squad.
