Team India retained their title after defeating Pakistan again in the history of championship. In 2012 also India and Pakistan faced off which was also claimed by Men in Blue.
In this crucial final, arch rivals Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Pak team posted good total of 197 runs in the big finale. Opener Badar Munir scored excellent fifty that helped the team to post the big total in 20 overs. However Indian bowlers also helped Pakistan as they conceded 28 extra runs in the match.
While chasing this big target of 198 runs, Indian team lost just one wicket. Opener Prakasha Jayaramaiah made unbeaten 99 runs in 60 balls that guided Men in Blue to claim the trophy in in 17.4 overs. Captain Ajay Kumar Reddy also smashed 43 runs.
