India squad announced for Women’s ICC World T20 2018

BCCI women’s selection committee has appointed Harmanpreet Kaur as the captain of Indian team for the upcoming ICC Women’s World Twenty20 in West Indies. Left-handed batswomen Smriti Mandhana to serve as deputy of Harmanpreet in the stand-along wt20 championship for women.

Mithali Raj and Jemimah Rodrigues, who performed exceptionally well in the recently concluded t20i series against Sri Lanka, have been included in the 15-member squad. Indian women is scheduled to play against Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Ireland in the Group-B matches of tournament.

India to play opening match of wwt20 against New Zealand on 9th November at Guyana National Stadium, Providence.
