The 11th season of Indian Premier League will be having eight teams in the competition. Initially there were rumors that 10 teams will be a part of IPLT20 in 2018 but BCCI CEO Rahul Johri confirmed that teams number would not be changed from 8. Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings will be replacing Gujarat Lions and Rising Pune Supergiant in the IPL 2018.
