Preparations for Indian Premier League 12th edition have begun as 8 IPL teams have submitted the list of players they want to retain for next season along with the released players name. IPL asked franchises to submit players list by 15th November and all teams disclosed the names of players they are going into Vivo IPL 2019.

A total of 130 cricketers that includes 44 overseas were retained by respective twenty20 clubs before heading into Indian Premier League 2019 players auction in December.
