IPL 2017: KXIP vs KKR match-49 Preview, Predictions

The 49th match of 10th IPL is set to be played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab on 9 May, 2017. KKR are coming into this match by winning their last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore meanwhile KXIP lost to Gujarat Lions. Kolkata have almost qualified for playoffs meanwhile Punjab has got an outside chance to be in the knockouts.

Preview

The way Sunil Narine and Chris Lynn destroyed bowling in the last match, it was exceptional. Especially Narine who smashed fifty in just 15 balls which is the fastest half-century in Indian Premier League. Hence both these guys will be key batsmen at the top of order for Knight Riders who will look to register win tonight to confirm playoffs berth.

On the other side, Kings XI Punjab bowlers didn’t perform well other night against Gujarat. Hashim Amla smacked brilliant hundred that helped team to post good total but bowlers failed to defend it. Marsh also played good innings but wasn’t looking in really a sparkling touch that was needed to score runs at good strike rate.

Glenn Maxwell also needs to score some big runs tonight to lead the side towards victory. KXIP have to win all three matches and they must have to wait to see if Sunrisers Hyderabad losses their rest two games in the group stage.
