Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been appointed captain of Perth Scorchers team for 2018-19 big bash league season starting from 19 December. Marsh replaces Voges as the skipper of Scorchers for 8th BBLT20 season meanwhile Voges replaces Justin Langer as the coach of twenty20 club.
Coach Voges was pleased on Marsh’s appointment as Scorchers skipper. “We have wanted to be consistent with our squads across all three formats, so naming Mitchell as captain was a good fit. He’s an exciting leader and I’m sure Perth Scorchers fans are going to be happy,” he mentioned.
Cameroon Bancroft who has been serving 9-month ban from cricket field after involving in ball tempering saga in South Africa, is included in Perth Scorchers squad for upcoming bbl edition. It is expected that he’ll be playing against Hobart Hurricanes on 30th December as the return on cricket field.
