Pakistan Cricket Board have revealed list of 28 international overseas cricketers who will be featuring in the platinum category for players draft for 5th edition of PSL t20 league. Cricketers from Afghanistan, Australia, England, Nepal, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies have registered themselves for the Pakistan Super League 2020 draft.
Prominent names in the list are Dale Steyn, Hashim Amla, Chris Lynn, Moeen Ali, Rashid Khan, Angelo Mathews, Carlos Brathwaite, Kieron Pollard and Colin Munro. Players draft is scheduled to take place on 6th December.
The base price for platinum category is $147,000 meanwhile maximum price to buy a player is 218,000 USD. These prices are less than previous season’s drat for the category as PCB reduced salary cap from 1.38 million USD to $1.1 million.
It will be first PSLT20 edition when whole tournament to be held in Pakistan. Hence availability of foreign players would give boost to the PCB hopes for hosting more international teams in the country. Lahore, Karachi, Multan and Rawalpindi to host matches of 2020 Pakistan Super League.
