Reports of sacking Virat Kohli from RCB captaincy, have proven wrong as Royal Challengers Bangalore management have made clear that Kohli will be leading RCB team in 2019 IPL and no doubts over that.

“We can clarify on record that the news is incorrect and Virat Kohli is very much the captain of RCB for the next season as well,” a spokesman told India Today.

Earlier reports rumored that RCB set to announced former South Africa captain and star batsman AB De Villiers as the skipper of side and Kohli to play Vivo IPL 2019 as batsman under ABD’s leadership.

Virat Kohli has been associated with RCB as player since the start of Indian Premier League in 2008 and he’s been leading Bangalore from past 6 seasons. But he never gets succeeds to win trophy for the twenty20 club. Kohli is the second highest run scorer in IPLT20 as he’s scored 4948 runs till date in played 163 matches.

Recently RCB made changes to their coaching staff as they sacked Daniel Vettori and appoint Gary Kirsten as full time coach. Team also carry-on with bowling coach Ashish Nehra for 12th Indian Premier League.
