Pakistan was playing the series under Misbah ul haq’s coaching stint for the first time. He took responsibility of team’s failure and accepted that they took Sri Lanka lightly which caused them shameful defeat.

“We took Sri Lanka lightly. Really disappointed on result of T20 series loosing at home. I did selection of the team and so accept responsibility of this clean sweep. Can’t name any single player as whole team didn’t played upto the expectations,” Misbah said after the 3rd t20.

Majority of cricket fans and experts blamed Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal for their disappointing performances in the first two twenty20 though these two were not part of the third game.

Pakistan was asked to chase 148 in the 3rd T20 but team shortened by 14 runs to target and coach Misbah was upset with that.

“We can’t let the required run-rate get out of hand. The instructions were clear to the batsmen and I will definitely ask them what problem was there that there were only 2 out and the required run-rate was allowed to go to 14 an over,” head coach said.

After this big defeat, fans also raises over skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed’s place in the team. He’s leading the side but he’s been failed as the batsman and fans want PCB to sack him from the national team.
