Pakistan Cricket Board have officially announced The Habib Bank Limited (HBL) as title sponsor of PSLT20. HBL signed up three years contract with Pakistan Super League to sponsor country’s new T20 league. As of the deal now the league will be known as HBL Pakistan Super League for at least 3 years.

PSL governing council chairman Mr. Najam Sethi said, “HBL’s association with Pakistan Super League is another indication of established brands partnering with the league.”

The official broadcasting rights, title sponsorship and franchises finalized on 3rd of December. Karachi franchise became the most expensive team in PSL as CEO of ARY Group Mr. Salman Iqbal purchase it for US$ 2.6 million. Lahore (US$ 2.4 million), Peshawar (US$ 1.6 million), Islamabad (US$ 1.5 million) and Quetta (US$ 1.1 million) were the other sold out franchises.

Inaugural edition of Pakistan Super League is set to begin on 4th of February and will conclude on 23rd February 2016. Five team will face each other and a total of 24 games will be played in a span of 20 days. Sharjah and Dubai will host the first season matches of PSLT20.
