Sagittarius Strikers

Sagittarius Strikers are the professional T20 cricket team that competes in Masters Champions League. Orange Limited founder Ashfaq Sheikh own the franchise of Team Sagittarius in MCL. Shiv Naresh is the official sportswear sponsor of Sagittarius Strikers. Australia’s Adam Gilchrist was appointed Strikers captain for 2016 championship. He was also announced as the team directer.

Captain Adam Gilchrist and team owners were present in a ceremony during the official announcement of team logo and outfit for players. Team owner Anis Sajan and vice captain Daniel Vettori were present during the unveiling of logo and kit.

Sri Lankan cricketer Mahela Jayawardene and New Zealand’s all time best spinner Daniel Vettori were named as the iconic legendary players in the side before the players action took place in early December 2015. Sagittarius Strikers purchased some top Xtraordinary players for the first edition of Masters Champions League which begins on 28 January.

Adam Gilchrist is the most expensive player for Strikers as he was bought for 170,000$. Shane Bond, Yasir Hammed, Jonathan Trott, Nathan Hauritz, Tino Best, Mushtaq Ahmed and some more best cricket stars are part of Sagittarius Strikers in the squad for 2016 MCL. Team will be playing their first game of tournament against Virgo Super Kings on 29th January at Dubai International Stadium.
