Bangladesh Cricket Board have announced the 15-member squad for Twenty20 World Cup 2016 that is starting from 8th March in India. Mashrafe Mortaza will be captaining the Bangladesh team in ICC World T20 which is the sixth edition of championship. Nasir Hossain and Mohammad Mithun are returning to the side for prestigious event in sub-continent.
Both Mithun and Hossain were not the part of Bangladeshi team which played 2-2 draw series against Zimbabwe recently. Mithun is making comeback in the side after almost 2 years whereas Mithun was given rest last month before the Zimbabwe series.

On the declaration of squad, Bangladesh chief selector Mr. Faruque Ahmed mentioned that the 15-men team was named with some players as back up options for fellow injured players. He has also added that team management knows the top players for playing 11 and will not be a tough call for us.
He said, “More or less we have an idea about our best 11 players. We thought they have the potential to be the next best.”

Bangladesh team is placed in the group A of competition along with associate teams Oman, Netherlands and Ireland. Team will kick off their campaign against Dutch team on 9th March, 2016 at Dharamsala. If Bangladesh top the group, they’ll go to the super-10 stage of 2020 world cup which schedules to begin on 15 March.
