St. Lucia Zouks (SLZ) have setup Caribbean Premier League 2020 final against Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) as SLZ defeated Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW) in the second semifinal by 10 wickets. The finale of 8th CPL t20 championship is scheduled to take place on 10 September.
The second semifinal match witnessed lowest score of the tournament as GAW all out for just 55 runs in 13.4 overs. All credit goes to brilliant bowling from St. Lucia bowlers as they never let Guyana batsmen dominate in the match. SLZ chased 56 runs target in just 4.3 overs and stormed into the CPL final for the first time.
In the first semifinal clash, Trinbago Knight Riders registered comfortable win over Jamaica Tallawahs with 9 wickets victory and 5 overs remaining in the knockout game. It will be fourth occasion when TKR will be appearing in the final match of West Indies’ twenty20 league. They are the winners of 2015, 2017 and 2018 seasons.
