Proteas captain Faf Du Plessis has announced that next twenty20 world cup in 2020 will be his last international tournament. Ahead of one-off T20I against Australia in Brisbane, South African skipper mentioned in press conference that upcoming t20 world cup would be his last competition.

“The T20 World Cup is in Australia and that’s not too far away, so hopefully we’ll be back for that and that will probably be my last international tour I would think,” Faf Di Plessis quoted as saying by cricket.com.au.

Faf made twenty20 international debut for South African team in 2012 and till date he has scored 1237 runs at an average of 35.34. The 2020 world cup is scheduled to play between 18 October and 15 November in Australia.
