ICC World Twenty20 2014 Winning Sri Lanka Squad

Sri Lanka cricket team became ICC World T20 champions in 2014 after losing finals of 2009 and 2012 tournaments. Lankan team beat India in the final of 5th twenty20 cricket world cup by 6 wickets. The competition was hosted in Bangladesh for the first time. Dinesh Chandimal was the captain of Sri Lanka whereas Lasith Malinga was appointed vice-captain of team.

Regular captain Chandimal couldn’t play knockout games in the event, hence Lasith Malinga captained side in semi-final and final.
