Indian cricket legend Sourav Ganguly will be seen playing more twenty20 matches in January-February next year as he is announced an icon at Masters Champions League (MCL). MCL is a T20 cricket league in which former international cricketers will feature and first edition of tournament will be played from 28 January to 14 February 2016.
Masters Champions League CEO Miss Shah Zarah announced Sourav Ganguly as the icon at MCL2020. Zarah also unveiled the first franchise of league name ‘Libra Legends’.

The league is introduced to bring cricketing legends together once again on the field and have fun with the most exciting format of sport. Along with Sourav Ganguly there are some top former international players like Virender Sehwag, Brian Lara. Wasim Akram, Adam Gilchrist and Jacques Kallis have signed up for MCL Twenty20 competition as the ‘Icon’ players.

Sourav Ganguly participated in cricket all-stars t20 series which was held in United States to promote the game of cricket. He scored brilliant half century in the last twenty20 match and showed that still can play cricket the way he used to play in limited overs in his international career. Ganguly also played starting seasons of Indian Premier League.
Masters Champions League first edition will be hosted at three venues in United Arab Emirates named Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Inaugural season will run between 28 January and 14 February in which a total of 90 players will participate.
