Pakistan Cricket Board will be proposing dates of upcoming Asia Cup 2020 to the Asian Cricket Council in a meeting at Thailand. PCB chairman Ehsan Mani will attend the meeting where he’ll be suggesting September dates to host T20 Asia Cup scheduled to be played in the Pakistan.
“PCB chairman Ehsan Mani is to leave for Thailand within next couple of days to attend the ACC meeting. Pakistan interest in the meeting is to get favourable dates for the Asia Cup T20 already allotted already to Pakistan. PCB wants to hold the event well ahead of the World T20 and the best dates it seems are early or mid-September,” PCB source quoted.
Asian Cricket Council awarded Asia Cup hosting rights to Pakistan and it would be interesting to see if the country will host the championship or not. India’s availability will be subjected if tournament will be held in Pakistan. The last Asia Cup 2018 edition was scheduled to take place in India but due to political tensions between two countries, moved the event to UAE.
