Rising Pune Supergiants to appear in their second season of Indian Premier League starting from April 5. For the first time, Steve Smith will be leading an IPL team as franchise sacked MS Dhoni as the skipper of RPS in IPL 2017. Team to play opening game against Mumbai Indians on 6th April.

Opening Batsmen
Rising Pune has got good opening pair combinations to go with in the tournament. Ajinkya Rahane, Faf du Plessis, Mayank Agarwal and Usman Khawaja are the players for opening slot in RPS roster. If we look at the playing combination and team’s balance, we find that Faf Du Plessis and Ajinkya Rahane are the perfect choice to start innings.
Middle Order
RPS’s middle order is quite decent with captain Steve Smith to bat at the number three meanwhile MS Dhoni, Ben Stokes, Mitchell Marsh and Manoj Tiwary to bat in the middle overs. Stokes and Marsh to play as the all-rounders in the side.
Bowlers
Supergiants are highly depending on their spinner Ravichandran Ashwin who can be crucial on MCA wicket. All-rounders Mitchell Marsh and Ben Stokes are the key fast bowling options for skipper Smith. Ashok Dinda, Jaskarn Singh can also be a part of bowling lineup. Rajat Bhatia may also get a place in Pune side as bowling all-rounder.
