HBL Pakistan Super League have sent welcome message to Lahore franchise on Twitter. Lahore Qalandars is announced as the official name of team which is owned by Qatar Lubricants Company (QALCO). The owners bid 24 US Million Dollar to purchase Lahore franchise in PSLT20.

The logo of Lahore Qalandars also revealed which reflects the Pakistan’s Lahore city’s culture. Letter “Q” present in the name of team represents Qatar and QALCO. South Africa’s Paddy Upton is named as the head coach of team. The players auction for league will take on 21 and 22 December which will finalize 16 players of Lahore franchise.
Lahore Qalandars will play their opening game of HBL PSL 2016 on 5th February against Karachi. Inaugural edition of Pakistan Super League is scheduled to be played between 4 and 23 February in 2016.
