Sri Lanka cricket team to tour India in February 2016 to play three twenty20 series ahead of Asia Cup and World T20. The 3 T20Is will be played from 9 to 14 February in Pune, Ranchi and Visakhapatnam. Both teams will be up against each other in international t20 match after 2014 world cup final in which Sri Lanka defeated India to become champions.
Sri Lanka cricket board said in a statement, “Sri Lanka will travel to India for three T20 internationals in February next year prior to the Asia Cup and the World Twenty20.”
“BCCI announced the venues for the three T20s against Sri Lanka in February 2016, before the World T20 which will be played in India. Sri Lanka T20s to be played in Visakhapatnam, Pune and Delhi,” the earlier statement added.
Earlier Delhi’s Firoz Shah Kotla Stadium was named to host the second match of series but DDCA failed to retain the hosting rights to some issues and BCCI awarded that game to Ranchi.
