KFC Big Bash League club Adelaide Strikers have created history as they have signed up dual-athlete Alexander Keath for the fifth season of championship. Alex Keath is used to play in Australian Football League for Adelaide club and now he’ll be seen playing BBL|05 for Strikers.
South Australia Cricket Association High Performance General Manager Mr. Tim Nielsen said, “We’re excited to have Alex on board with us this summer as he’s another allrounder that can really put a match in our favour with either bat or ball.”
Alexander Keath made debut in Big Bash League for Melbourne Stars and played four games for the club. But due to certain Aussie cricket rules he left BBL and joined Adelaide Crows in AFL.
“As someone who’s already made his BBL debut with the Stars, we’re confident that he’ll provide healthy competition for a spot in our eleven and add extra depth to our side,” Mr. Nielsen added.
Adelaide Strikers will play their opening match of 2015-16 KFC Big Bash on 18 December against Melbourne Stars at the Adelaide Oval. So it will be interesting to see whether Keath appears in the first game or not as if he plays, he’ll be playing against his former club Melbourne Stars.
