Australia’s former test pace bowler Ryan Harris has joined Brisbane Heat club as the coaching mentor for 2015-16 KFC Big Bash League season. Harris announced retirement from test cricket this year in July and he’ll be seen in coaching staff of Brisbane Heat along with former Blackcaps coach and current Ireland head coach John Bracewell.
Brisbane Heat’s coaching staff heads with former New Zealand legendary cricketers that include spinner Daniel Vettori as coach and assistant Shane Bond.
Queensland Cricket Chief Executive Officer Geoff Cockerill said, “Queensland Cricket continually aims to produce Australia’s best players and challenge for trophies across all formats, so it is a great opportunity for our Brisbane Heat playing group to be working with Ryan Harris, who has an outstanding coaching and playing pedigree.”
The 5th edition of Big bash is scheduled to begin on 17 December. Brisbane Heat will be playing their opening game of tournament against Melbourne Renegades on 19th December.
