Leo Lions are the professional Twenty20 cricket team that competes in ex-cricketers league Masters Champions League. Bollywood super star Sanjay Dutt’s wife Manyata Dutt owns the Leo Lions’ franchise in MCL 2020 event. New Zealand’s Scott Styris and Zimbabwean cricketer Heath Streak are the iconic players for Leos in the inaugural edition of championship in 2016.
West Indies legendary player Brian Lara is the most expensive player for Leo Lions as team purchased him for $100,000 bid in the players auction. He was also appointed the captain of side for 2016 edition. Former South Africa star batsman Herschelle Gibbs is also a part of the team for first MCL season beginning from 28th January.
Some top kiwi players James Franklin, Scott Styris and Hamish Marshal will be playing for Leo Lions. Leo Lions will be playing their first game of 2016 Masters Champions League against Capricorn Commanders on 29th January at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai.
